Statement Of Commitment

Pink Elephant is committed to treating all people in a way that allows them to maintain their dignity and independence through integration and equal opportunity. We are committed to meeting the needs of people with disabilities in a timely manner, and will do so by preventing and removing barriers to accessibility and meeting accessibility requirements under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005.

Training

Pink Elephant will provide training to employees and other relevant persons. Training will be provided in a way that best suits the duties of these identified groups.

Employment

Design Of Public Spaces

Pink Elephant commits to meeting Accessibility Standards for the Design of Public Spaces when building or making modifications to public spaces. We will notify the public of any service disruption, should they occur, and provide available alternatives.

Plan & Policy Review

Pink Elephant supports the full inclusion of persons with disabilities as identified in Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA). As such, all policies and procedures will be developed or updated so as to respect and promote the dignity and independence of persons with disabilities. As required, this plan will be reviewed and updated every 5 years.
