We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, and accomplished Sales Manager who will lead our Inbound Customer Service Reps and our Sales Reps to take the company and themselves to the next level!

Working from the Burlington corporate head office, the Marketing Manager reports directly to company senior executives and will focus on developing, executing, and managing marketing activities for Pink Elephant’s portfolio of services while working in tandem with many different teams at across the company including sales, customer service, product management and the conferences team.

The incumbent is primarily responsible for developing, leading, and executing customer service and sales strategies to ensure Pink Elephant continues to deliver outstanding products and services to our customers throughout Canada and USA.

You understand what it takes to develop impactful sales strategies, provide exceptional customer service, and be a strategic business partner. You have an extensive understanding of sales operations and reporting. You have expertise in building and growing high performance sales teams. You are dynamic leader that mentors top performers to achieve their fullest potential and coaches underperformers to get back on track.

KEY RESPONSBILITIES

  • Lead the Sales and Customer Service team by providing mentorship, coaching, and direction to maximize customer service standards and grow existing customer accounts
  • Lead and develop the Outbound Sales team in order to achieve business and revenue targets
  • Act as business partner to key stakeholders, including senior management team, and contribute ideas and sales strategies to achieve revenue and business objectives
  • Create sales target plans and performance improvement plans when necessary
  • Be a resource for sales teams by providing expertise and strategies to support team’s ability to meet and exceed targets
  • Manage customer service escalations to achieve successful resolution
  • Produce accurate sales reporting and forecasting data to support business planning, improvement initiatives and to drive sales strategies
  • Manage leads that are identified and facilitate follow up from the sales and customer services team
  • Ensure that all customer transactions (records, orders, call notes, activations, deactivations, etc.) are documented appropriately in CRM tool
  • Proactively, review and assess sales process with a focus on continuous improvement

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field
  • Overall 8+ years of progressive sales experience with a focus on inside sales
  • 4+ years of experience managing an inside sales team, including developing and executing sales strategies
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of inside sales operations requirements, processes, pipeline management, CRM and forecasting principles as well as customer service best practices
  • Strong experience in solution selling environments a must
  • Sales experience in IT related organizations considered an asset
  • Strong business acumen and ability to partner with stakeholders effectively
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills to foster positive and lasting relationships
  • Highly effective business communication skills including written, verbal and presentation skills in managing all aspects of the sales ops role with a polished presence
  • Must have excellent computer skills and highly proficient with MS Office and Sales database systems
  • Good business acumen with sound knowledge of general business principles and marketing
  • General knowledge of IT management best practices – an asset
  • Ability to occasionally travel (e.g. Trade Shows, Conferences)
